SVP and General Manager
Bret Fund is the SVP and General Manager of Infosec, where he focuses on helping organizations and individuals build a culture of cybersecurity and close their skills gaps. Before that, he was the VP of Education at the Flatiron School, overseeing the program development and operations for their consumer and enterprise-facing products. Previously he was the Founder and CEO of SecureSet — a forward-thinking, immersive education company focused on educating the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, which he sold to WeWork/Flatiron. Before that, he was an Assistant Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado in Boulder. While at CU, he directed and oversaw a student-run venture fund that invested in startups in the Denver-Boulder area. Bret also served as the Board Vice President of Prospect Ridge Academy — a high achievement K-12 public charter school in the Adams 12 District — and led the organization in building enduring processes during its formative startup years. He also consults with a handful of other organizations on their go-to-market strategy, business development, acquisitions, organizational change issues and governance.
Bret obtained a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University and has spent over 10 years as a professional educator and consultant. Bret obtained his Master’s in Organizational Change and Development and was an honors graduate for his Bachelor’s in Finance from Brigham Young University. Bret is personally and professionally interested in the intersection of science, education and technology. He created a Saas platform (Gogy) to enable educators to interact more easily with their students beyond the classroom and is currently building Entrepy to help train the next generation of security professionals and startups.
VP Portfolio and Product Strategy
Keatron Evans is a cybersecurity and workforce development expert with over 17 years of experience in penetration testing, incident response and information security management for federal agencies and Fortune 500 organizations. He is VP of Portfolio and Product Strategy at Infosec, where he empowers the human side of cybersecurity with cyber knowledge and skills to outsmart cybercrime. Keatron is an established researcher, instructor and speaker — and lead author of the best-selling book, Chained Exploits: Advanced Hacking Attacks from Start to Finish. He regularly speaks at major industry events like RSA and serves as a cybersecurity subject matter expert for major media outlets like CNN, Fox News, Information Security Magazine and more. Keatron holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems and dozens of cybersecurity certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) and Licensed Penetration Tester (LTP). When not teaching, speaking or managing his incident response business, KM Cyber Security LLC, Keatron enjoys practicing various martial arts styles, playing piano and bass guitar, and spending time with his family.
Vice President of Client Success
Vince Formanek is a sales and client success leader with over 20 years of experience creating, growing and coaching teams. Vince leads the client success team at Infosec, focusing on bringing value to customers, increasing customer retention and expanding contract value. Previously, Vince oversaw sales teams at Getty Images that drove the adoption of SaaS products and committed revenue. He joined Infosec in 2018, where he has grown the client success team from two to 19 personnel — and increased customer retention rates from 68% to 91%. Vince holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Illinois. He lives in Madison, where he spends weekends watching his three children play hockey and soccer.
Director Customer Experience
Scott Fredrickson is a customer experience and education expert with over 23 years of experience in the IT and cybersecurity education industry. As director customer experience at Infosec, he leads the company’s support and implementation strategy and teams. Previously, Scott was director of training operations at QuickStart Intelligence where he led the support and fulfillment operations in seven offices across three states. He joined the Infosec team in 2014 to drive the company’s transition from in-person to online training delivery, helping grow the share of online enrollments from 14% to 70%. Scott is an awarded career military retiree, and a Forrester Certified Customer Experience Professional.
Head of Americas Sales
Jarrod Mayes is a seasoned sales leader and longtime Infosec employee. Jarrod joined the organization in 2014 as a sales representative and worked his way up the ranks to his current role, Head of Americas Sales. In this role, Jarrod leads teams of dozens of sales professionals to optimize sales cycles, techniques and processes. Jarrod has expertise in managing and scaling various go-to-market motions ranging from SMB to Enterprise to Sales Operations. Jarrod resides in the Madison, WI, area and spends his free time perfecting his barbecuing skills and trying to keep his toddler out of mischief.
Sr Director, Software Engineering
Aparna Tula is a passionate engineering leader with over 20 years of experience in product development and software engineering. Aparna leads engineering teams at Infosec, bringing our product vision to a reality by creating technology solutions that solve business problems. Aparna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a Master’s in Computer Science from Villanova University. Aparna resides in the Philadelphia area with her family. She loves volunteering at local high schools and colleges, mentoring students who want to choose a career in technology.
